Members of the public are invited to comment on the proposed updates to the Drinking Water Source Protection Plan for the Grand River watershed. The plan has been prepared under the Clean Water Act, 2006 to protect municipal sources of drinking water and ensure their sustainable use into the future.
Updates to the plan that protects the sources of municipal drinking water in the Grand River watershed were approved by the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks on February 4 and February 9, 2022.
Members of the public are invited to read and comment on the proposed updates to the Drinking Water Source Protection Plan for the Grand River watershed. The plan has been prepared under the Clean Water Act, 2006 to protect municipal sources of drinking water and ensure their sustainable use into the future.
Applications are being accepted until June 6, 2021 to fill a vacancy for a public interest (general public) representative on the Lake Erie Region Source Protection Committee.
Updates to the plan that protects the sources of municipal drinking water in the Grand River watershed were approved by the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks on February 2, 2021.
CORRECTION: The below news release has been updated to reflect that one of the proposed updates to the Grand River Source Protection Plan will also affect the Township of Mapleton.

Due to ongoing precautions to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and following the direction and recommendations of federal and provincial governments, Community Liaison Group (CLG) meetings will be held virtually. A Centre Wellington Tier 3 CLG webcast will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at 6:30 p.m.

Please be advised that the Centre Wellington Tier 3 Water Budget Community Liaison Group meeting has been cancelled in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The meeting will be resheduled in the future as a webinar.
